This Friday (27 September) Kiwi school kids, along with their parents and supporters around the country, will be protesting as part of International Earth Strike in the School Strike 4 Climate NZ.
The solarZero team at solarcity will be showing our support of the strike with our 95-strong staff attending rallies in Auckland, Christchurch, and Nelson.
solarcity’s Founder and CEO Andy Booth will join staff from our Nelson office at the protest, and will speak to the assembled students and supporters as part of the activities on the day. Nelson is the birthplace of solarcity and our groundbreaking solarZero energy service, so has great significance for Andy and our wider team.
If you’re attending the protests in Auckland or Nelson, keep an eye out for our team in their solarZero tshirts - please come and say hi and be part of the crew representing solarZero.
We’ll be posting updates from the strike on our Instagram and Facebook pages, including a live stream of our CEO’s speech at the Nelson event. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook @solarcitynz to see the action on the day.
As a member of our Grid for Good community, we encourage you to support your local school students by attending the protest, or talking to your friends and family about the strike’s intention to raise awareness about climate change.
